Love That Anchors Everything

Matthew 22:37“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’”

If you had to sum up faith in one line, Jesus already did it for us: love God with everything you’ve got. Simple, right? Except, not really. Because “everything” is a lot. Some days you’ve got passion and clarity, other days you’ve got a messy heart and a tired soul. And your mind? Forget it—it’s spiraling at 2 a.m. about things you can’t control.

But Jesus isn’t setting a bar you’ll never reach. He’s inviting you into relationship. “All your heart, soul, and mind” doesn’t mean perfection—it means presence. It means showing up with what you have today, even if it’s just a flicker of faith or a whispered prayer.

That’s what these next seven days are about. Short reminders from Matthew that God doesn’t just love you when you’re crushing it—He’s with you when you’re dim, doubting, or dragging your feet. This week is about leaning in, one verse and one prayer at a time, and remembering that God’s love for you is always bigger than your love for Him.
